before this glorious weekend, i hadn't seen my parents in 8 MONTHS. felt like a freaking lifetime. my dad was attending a cardiology conference in the city, so i decided to hop on down for a weekend. my aunt and uncle came along on the trip too, and because i've already been to barcelona, we visited my favorite sites to show them around. this weekend was perfect - kind of acting as a slow introduction back to real life. we ate treats from la boqueria and slowly wandered through the side streets of barri gotic, and i helped my mom translate when speaking with the locals! although they speak catalan (which i absolutely do not understand), most everyone spoke spanish. it was nice to finally be in a city in which i could easily entiendo. also, those gaudi mosaics, guys. i'd like to plaster those beauties alllllll over my walls.
here's to my last week in geneva!
